a lot of times people wish for things that they can’t have. they want to be rich and have a lot of money. they want to be successful and be smart. they want to be good at everything and be liked by others. it’s great to have goals to reach up to, however a lot of times people, in order to obtain these goals, start comparing themselves to others. they seek to become popular. they seek to have the hottest boyfriend. they seek to look nice 24/7 and live a life that others would respect and look up to. pretty soon they are dragged away, wasted in society and with people in the world. why? because in order to FEEL happy, they want to fulfill their goals, they NEED to make themselves feel superior to others that weren’t great enough to bring their own life up to standard. the sad thing is that once many of these people reach the standard they want to be ranked as, they aren’t happy. something still isn’t complete. suddenly being able to tell their future children that they were popular, or had they best boyfriend in middle school isn’t important. it seems all the time that was spent to be “in” kept them from living a decent life in their teenage years. well...how fulfilling. the real question is: how do you live a life that is “fulfilling” at a young age without being sucked in to all the craziness going on around you. what ‘deems’ someone’s life as fulfilling isn’t defined by what others think or the people that you’re friends with. it’s the people you IMPACT. living life to the fullest is reaching your potential to be who you’re MADE to be. yes, maybe you’re crazy busy, never stopping from sports, homework, and chores-BUT who says your not living a fulfilled life? who says your not giving everything your all, looking on the positive side of things by being an example to others and modeling who Jesus is. the main fact is- just because you think one way of yourself, doesn’t make it true. what Jesus thinks of you is 100% better than what you think of yourself. crazy to think about right? because Jesus led a fulfilling life, He calls us to live one too. asking Jesus to lead the way through your crazy, messed up life will lift you up in those busy, rough times. reaching out to others and being an encouragement to those who are draining away their lives to be “complete” with themselves, is making a difference. THAT is how you can live a life for God. because truthfully any life that is driven to live for God, is a life full of completion. do you have to be perfect? no. do you have to know what your doing? no. do you have to have lived a well modeled life to this point? NO. Jesus came just for the people who were broken and messed up. inside and out He wants to help you get the most out of life that you can. life your life to the fullest by living out your faith, and even in the crazy, remember that a life that’s fulfilling is one that’s lived for Him.
“My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying.” Proverbs 3:1-2
